My mind just got stuck at the word ‘also’. When I read the word also while in the story of Martha and Mary, I just got aware of the fact how lonely I had been during this time of Covid and lockdowns and not being able to just enjoy faith together with friends and church family.

I like life. It is fun. It is bright. It is sometimes very challenging and even confusing. It definitely brought me to places I have never expected to end up when I was younger.. But it did and it was and is good.. It also probably didn’t bring me some things I would expected to do or have achieved now in my early 30s.
Today it’s like 20 degrees celcius warmer then three days ago. We went from minus 10°C to plus 10°C. It’s one of the few big temperature rises I love, because now spring is coming.

Mostly just on your own.
Martha received and welcomed the Lord in her house, but still didn’t had time to listen to Him. I ask God a lot too.. I ask God to come over, I do invite Him in, but then I forget to just sit at His feet. I play music for Him; I listen to sermons about Him; I talk about Him. But I forget to take time to really listen to Him. I’m more like a party planner, always thinking about what is coming up next.

I like my job, I really do. I still think that becoming an OT was a good thing for me. But a few weeks ago I had to draw the conclusion that even though I like helping people as an occupational therapist, I still have the feeling that I’m walking in my purpose for God when I’m travelling abroad
